Super fine needles are used throughout treatment, some so small they can only be used with tweezers! There is very little sensation, plus anaethetic cream is used to reduce sensation even further. Most patients comment on how relaxing they find the whole experience. I practice Five Element Acupuncture, an ancient form of acupuncture originating from China. It relies on working with the patient to understand the natural rhythms of the body which from time to time become unbalanced, causing illness and pain. By gently manipulating these rhythms with acupuncture treatment the aim is to restore a natural healthy state. My acupuncture practice has clinics in York and Harrogate and upholds the following philosophy: Relax: time out of your day solely for you.
