The Cairncross Family have been well-known throughout the UK and abroad for providing quality traditional service to their customers since 1869, and Alex Cairncross continues this established tradition with her own business.
Alex’s Great-Grandfather and Great Uncle, Alexander and George Cairncross founded the renowned Cairncross Family Perth jewellery shop, A & G Cairncross, in 1869.
She trained with two of the most prestigious jewellers outside London, before returning home to the family business to work with her father and uncle, Alastair and Jimmie Cairncross.
Alex joined the famous Perth family jeweller’s business in 1984 and qualified as a Retail Jeweller in 1986.
Alex has been supplying private clients for 20 years since leaving the family firm and she has now established her own online business selling quality and luxury modern silver gifts which are mainly sourced from traditional British manufacturers.
