Short profile:
Aldbury is small, friendly village school in the heart of the countryside. Our school provides education for children aged 4-11years. We recognise all children as having their own individual needs and we try to support these needs through an emphasis on the partnership between home and school. Aldbury is a happy school with a very strong, caring ethos. We encourage and expect children to work hard and behave well and try their best, developing into independent, self confident learners and above all have a love for learning.
Detailed description:
We have high expectations with all members of the school community showing respect to each other. We offer a wide curriculum where academic excellence and creativity are valued. Participation in sporting and music activities is a strength in the school.
We have a very committed Parent Teacher Association called FOAS which provides much welcome fundraising support for the school as well as a variety of social activities to promote community links. We cater for the whole child and give children a range of experiences that they can hold on to through life long learning.
I am very proud to be the head of Aldbury and welcome new families throughout the year to visit our developing school.
