Working together with the professional team to help to see that the most appropriate products and strategies for cladding the building have been considered and utilised on the construction in the context of budget, performance durability and life expectancy by assisting in or preparing the specifications, auditing design details and monitoring workmanship of the Sub-contractors.
Considering thermal analysis of the Contractor’s design with an appropriately qualified engineer and provide general advice on the general compliance of the bids.
Attending site during the execution of the relevant packages to see that works are completed to an appropriate standard.
Detailed description:
Examining the construction details (both as drawings and visual site inspections of the building envelope) and provide written reports on any likely locations of unplanned air, thermal and water leakage and other general deficiencies, suggest potential alternative details required to correct. Following completion of alternative details, re-inspect for suitability.
Assisting the client to achieve compliance with good working practice, the specification, current standards and Part L2 building regulations for Air Tightness and Insulation for the building façade.
