Age Concern Barnsley was set up in 1974 following an initiative from Age Concern England. We are an independent charity and a full member of the Age Concern Federation. We are concerned with promoting the well being, fulfillment and happiness of older people living in the Barnsley Metropolitan District.
Detailed description:
We are pleased to report that we are moving our Advice & Information Services and Insurance Services to more suitable premises in the town centre, (please see menu for details). These services will operate from the new premises from the 30th November 2009. The charity provides a wide number of services from its own funds and works in partnership with Social Services and the Primary Care Trust in delivering further services to support the health and social care needs of Barnsley's older population.
