Detailed description:
Through the advocacy service we provide support to service users in securing their rights and accessing services. This service is offered on a home visiting basis to those who are unable to visit our information & advice office; or those whose needs are complex. Our Advocates can help with many issues, including consumer problems; apllying for Welfare Benefits; liasing with other agencies on the client's behalf such as utilities companies or council offices; and will writing. We have a small team of volunteers advocates who help us to provide a high quality service, each contributing therir own life experiences, skills and knowledge. We also have productive relationships with other organisations in the borough, enabling us to work on a partnership basis to achieve the best results possible for our service users
