We are a Scottish registered charity which represents the interests of children and young adults with lived experience of communication impairments, working towards their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers.
Detailed description:
We provide essential support for parents and carers, provide training for parents, professionals and agencies, promote the participation of children and young people, provide publications for parents and professionals. Through our networks, we can offer a range of supports suited to you. Some prefer online support, others a friendly voice over the phone, for those who like to meet up occasionally there are arrangements made through local group or network contacts and a range of community activities planned throughout the year. Afasic offers planned activity days for children with communication challenges, notifications are made via the website and newsletters.
