Adrian Barrett has completed several hundred architectural projects successfully since he established his practice in 1977 after having completed some 15 years in contracting, construction and small works management. In both the UK and France fully detailed drawings, plans and specifications are required by statute before any building project can be considered formally and planning consent granted.

In large building projects each level of expertise is clearly defined and every management position filled by a professional who is qualified in his particular speciality. Adrian meets clients to exchange and discuss ideas, to develop ideas on detail and to establish costs. He produces all the necessary drawings of the building as existing and as proposed, together with working details of the project. He also provides specifications, providing geographical references and photographs as well as other pieces of information required to make a formal planning submissions. The planning submission usually includes building regulations applications or in France, the Permis de Construire. In large building projects each level of expertise is clearly defined and every management position filled by a professional who is qualified in his particular speciality. However, professional management and design are also the key to the successful completion of small construction projects (less than £2m/ 2.1m Euros approx). Close co-operation between client/designer and designer/contractor is essential to ensure that each aspect of a project is carried out in the most cost efficient and effective manner. Parmi ses contrats on trouve: maisons neuves, bâtiments industriels, transformations de bâtiments existants, rénovations et agrandissement de maisons privées, aménagement de granges, moulins, vieux bâtiments etc. en habitations; écoles; hôtels; résidences troisième âge, propriétés commerciales. Il fait tous les plans détaillés et produit le cahier de charges nécessaires avant d'obtenir le Certificat d'Urbanisme et le Permis de construire et d'inviter tous les entrepreneurs du bâtiment à faire leurs soumissions. Adrian Barrett a une grande expérience de l'architecture d'intérieur. Il a exécuté des travaux dans toutes sortes de propriétés que ce soit dans les secteurs commerciaux ou domestiques y compris: des maisons particulières, des hôtels, des pubs, des écoles privées, des restaurants et bâtiments classés.
