ADDINGTON ROAD SURGERY

Asthma Clinic-

This is held twice monthly by one of our practice nurses who has undertaken special training in the area of asthma care. A doctor is also available.

Diabetic Clinic-

This is also held twice monthly (incorporating one afternoon and one evening session) by one of our practice nurses who has special training in diabetic management. A doctor is also available and annual reviews are arranged by appointment.

Cardiovascular Clinic-

The practice runs these clinics on selected afternoons for those patients with a history of angina, heart attack or stroke.

Minor Surgery-

The doctors are able to carry out a number of minor surgical procedures on the surgery premises. Appointments for these can be made after initial consultation with the doctor.

Maternity Services-

All the doctors provide antenatal and postnatal care and appointments with the doctor are available after morning surgery.

Family Planning & Contraception-

All doctors offer a family planning service for contraception and pre-conception advice. All our practice nurses are qualified to offer advice on the various methods of contraception.

We have always run a comprehensive call and recall system for cervical cytology so that all women are reminded to have smears at the appropriate time. Recently Bromley Primary Care Trust has started a recall system for Bromley patients. This at present runs alongside ours, so there may be a possibility that you receive a duplicate letter. Appointments can be made with a doctor or a practice nurse. Please tell the receptionist when you book your appointment that it is for a cervical smear.

Examinations for insurance and employment medicals, elderly driver, HGV licence, sports medicals etc. are arranged outside surgery hours. A fee is payable and there is a list of charges in the waiting room. These fees follow BMA recommendations.
