Short profile:
Sport and Health is promoted strongly in the summer term. A whole school Sports Day is a popular family event where competition is encouraged.
The school runs a range of extra-curricular clubs at various times as follows, Football, Gymnastics, Drama, Dance, Fitkids, Art clubs, Gardening club.
In addition the school Governors annually set aside money in the school budget to ensure the children experience a range of rich activites as part of their curriculum. Whilst these can change each year the following provides an example, Year R. Theatre group visits. Concert recital. Visit to Swanage railway, Marwell Zoo etc.
Year One. Theatre Group visits. Trip to Priest House Museum, Sandbanks beach etc.
Year Two . Theatre group visits. Visit from drama teacher to support teaching of the `Great Fire of London`.
Year Three. Visit from drama teacher to support teaching of the Romans. Visit to Corfe Castle as part of Art project. Theatre group visits. Trip to Cinema.
The whole school enjoys a Global Arts week in April which focuses on cultures from around the world. This provides many rich musical and art experiences.
The excellent `Puppet Man` visits in the summer, a popular end to the year!
