Acorn Childcare runs nurseries, out-of-school care and crèches in the Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire area. Our ethos is to provide high quality care and early years education with a personal touch.
Acorn Childcare began as a single nursery in 1989 in the village of Castlethorpe, where the company is still managed by the founder, Zoë Raven.
Detailed description:
Our nurseries average less than 40 places each, which gives them a family-friendly individuality. Three are in old Victorian buildings, four are on school sites, and just one is purpose built. Each share the characteristic of highly professional, dedicated staff and a common core of policies and practices which have developed over the 20 years since Acorn was established.
Our sister organisation, Tall Oaks, provides training and development to our staff, and is also developing our own Forest School provision. Please browse through our website, download our brochure, but most of all come and visit us to see for yourself what we have to offer.
Acorn now runs eight nurseries in Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire, as well as a variety of out-of-school clubs and mobile crèche facilities and Zoë is supported by a friendly and professional team who all share her passion for providing the very best individual care for your child.
Acorn believes that smaller nurseries enable childcare with a more personal touch, so our nurseries average less than 40 places each. This means we can offer the flexibility and individuality of a homely setting, combined with the professionalism and facilities you’d expect from one of the larger nursery chains.
Acorn place a strong emphasis on training our staff to the highest standards. We have strong links with our sister organisation, Tall Oaks Training, which provides professional development and training for our team as well as for early years and childcare professionals working in other settings.
