We offer comfortable, secure accommodation with a resident housekeeper and homemade cooked meals. All your household worries are taken away for an affordable monthly fee. If you want to live in a large homely house, with a small group of people for companionship, then you have come to the right place.
Abbeyfield is a national non profit making charitable society, solely dedicated to the welfare and happiness of elderly people in each locality. For over fifty years it has provided secure accommodation for older people - many of them in their nineties - who are reasonably fit but who do not wish or are unable to go on living alone.
They want to remain independent and value their privacy but wish to shed the burdens of cooking and housekeeping. They want to feel secure and, above all, they want companionship - loneliness in old age is the greatest burden of all.
