All Abaca mattresses are made with loving care in our farm based unit in West Wales.
We use only the finest organic materials to create each individually made mattress, bringing you unparalleled organic luxury. The range of mattresses comprises a 100% organic pocket sprung, a fully organic latex mattress, a luxury combination of both as well as a selection of organic cot and Moses basket mattresses. Each mattress is made with generous layers of organic Welsh wool which is naturally fire retardant, allowing it to pass the fire retardant test without the use of chemical fireproofing.
Detailed description:
Our organic pocket sprung mattress (Snowdon) is made in a choice of two firmnesses which between them provide the perfect sleeping surface for the majority of people whether you are very light or very heavy. It combines layers of wool with different properties to make a wonderfully comfortable mattress and is encased in an organic cotton cover which is hand tufted. This Soil Association certified pocket sprung mattress is available in all standard sizes and can also be custom made to fit a non standard bed frame.
The Abaca latex mattress (Ramsey) is made using natural latex formed from the sap of the Hevea Brasiliensis tree. Two layers of organic wool are wrapped around a 15cm deep natural latex pad, then, as with all our mattresses, it is finished with an organic cotton cover and hand tufted. The latex is available in soft, medium or firm, and this metal free mattress can be made in different depths and in any size or length.

Abaca ist in Europa und in Großbritannien der einzige Hersteller von Bio-Matratzen, die von der Soil Association zertifiziert sind. Wir stellen Matratzen für die gesamte Familie her. Dabei verwenden wir Bio-Baumwolle und die reinste walisische Biowolle von den Schaffarmen aus dem wunderschönen walisischen Hügelland.
Im Gegensatz zu anderen Matratzen, bei denen Synthetikfasern verwendet werden, bestehen die Matratzen von Abaca aus natürlichen Materialien und bestehen den Brandprüfungstest EN5971-2 (BS 7177) ohne den Einsatz von Chemikalien. Bei der Herstellung des Baumwollgewebes werden keine Pestizide oder Herbizide verwendet und jede Bio-Matratze wird sorgfältig von Hand genäht und endbearbeitet.
Unsere luxuriösen handgefertigten Matratzen, die individuell gefertigt sind, sind von der Soil Association zertifiziert und sind in allen britischen und europäischen Standardgrößen erhältlich, können jedoch auch nach den Wünschen des Kunden angefertigt werden.
