  • Laboratory Fume extraction fans

Corrosive fume handling applications such as laboratory fume cupboards, fume hoods, local extraction arms and chemical stores all require fans that will endure corrosive fumes or protect against the risks associated with explosive gasses.
Axair Fans UK Limited offer solutions to these problems within a range of single inlet centrifugal fans in corrosion resistant moulded polypropylene.
The fans have circular spigots that vary in diameter from 75 to 315mm and have airflow rates up to 10,000m³/h.
Axair Fans UK Limited offers the most diverse range of industrial fans & accessories available from a single source as well as a technical support and extensive stock availability.

  • Highly efficient EC packaged fans ready for installation

Axair Fans UK Ltd, have introduced Rosenberg packaged fans with energy saving EC technology for the installers market.
EC motors  (Electronically Commutated) offer great benefits in terms of energy savings, operating directly from a three phase AC power supply, but internally on super efficient, high voltage DC, by way of a fully integrated controller. It also allows the fan to operate over a wider range of AC voltage, from 380 to 480 Volts 50/60Hz as standard, without affecting the operating point of the fan.
EHAG centrifugal single inlet blowers are available in 5 sizes offering up to 13000m³/h to the designer of bespoke ducted ventilation systems, with all the advantages of energy saving and simplicity of control, offered by the advanced EC motor. KHAG rectangular duct fans, with hinge out motorised impellers, for easy cleaning and maintenance offer a low profile, in-line duct fan solution for installation above false ceilings or other restricted spaces. DVG vertical discharge roof extract units, available in 6 sizes offer fully automatic operation in constant pressure extract systems. Fitting industry standard ducting systems the fan offer excellent energy savings in applications requiring frequent changes of duty. UNOBOX square in-line duct fans are available in 6 sizes with energy saving EC motors featuring removable panels for air discharge in any direction. These are fitted with built-in sound attenuation.

  • COOLING POWER ELECTRONICS

Modern electronic devices, such as inverters and soft starters, need to be protected by an enclosure that is of compact dimensions and has an efficient cooling system.
In normal environments the preferred option is to fan ventilate, but fans alone can be detrimental to the ingress protection (IP) classification of the enclosure. The solution lies in a combined fan and filter, designed to provide cooling air that is free of both dust and splashed water (IP54).
Beyond basic functionality, fan/filter units such as the Axair ‘FPF’ range now have many other useful attributes such as their availability in both colours RAL 7032 and 7035, a variety of standard voltages both ac and dc, enhanced protection to IP55 standards, choice of airflow direction, and EMC/RFI screening. From an installation perspective the units are now supplied in a low profile ‘click-fit’ design with an attractive and practical chevron louvre.
‘FPF’ fan/filter assemblies are now stocked by Axair Fans UK Ltd in 10 basic models with 5 sizes of louvre ranging from 105 to 325mm square, with maximum flow rates to 650 cu.m/h.
Axair Fans also offers Fandis new generation of “FF” fan filter units dedicated for electrical enclosures and control panels.
The fixation system has been improved in order to accommodate thicker steel plates, up to 8mm, and still offering the fast assembly ‘click-fit’ system with elastic hooks. The filter media is more easily accessible by removing the front cover by hand without the need for tools. All other maintenance operations are only possible from inside the enclosure. The improved sealing gasket is fitted between the filter unit and the enclosure, and is now completely hidden. Like the current range of “FPF” filter fans, the new “FF” range is available in both colours RAL 7032 or 7035, a choice of voltages ac or dc, enhanced protection to IP55 standards, and choice of airflow direction.
Where filtration is not integrated with the fan, there is an enormous range of axial and centrifugal fans to choose from with airflow rates and pressure developments up to and beyond the limits envisaged for enclosure ventilation.
Axair Fans UK Ltd also offers an extensive range of thermal management equipment for electronic and electrical enclosures, including standard and changeover thermostats, hygrostats, PTC heaters and lights.

  • Make the right choice on ATEX fans

Specifying ATEX fans is difficult enough given the need to understand and meet the various directives and regulations.
Once having found an ATEX fan that satisfies a particular risk assessment there is the added problem to find sufficient choice of fan to meet all criteria. Axair Fans can help you avoid making the inevitable compromises by providing a greater range of ATEX fans than any other source.
Axair manufactures two ranges of centrifugal fans in carbon-loaded moulded polypropylene. They are available for Category 3G-Zone2 applications with the option of EEx-nA or EEx-d motors, covering air flow rates up to 10000m³/h and pressures to 2000pascals.
Being corrosion resistant Axair ATEX polypropylene fans can handle aggressive chemical fumes internally, whilst being weather protected externally.
Axair supplies Sodeca ATEX centrifugal fans in both steel and aluminium construction. Fan components are either prevented from contact sparking in normal operation or are made of non-sparking copper and aluminium. All Sodeca ATEX fans can be specified for Category2 Zone1, with the option of EEx-e or EEx-d motors.
Sodeca CMP multi-vane, CMR backward-curved and CMA forward-curved fans are available to 30000m³/h and up to 4000pascals pressure.
Axair stocks Sodeca plate and cased axial fans for building or room ventilation. EEx-d motors are standard on the plate fans. Cased models offer a choice of EEx-d or EEx-e motors Sodeca HCDF/ATEX (up to Ø560), HDF/ATEX (to Ø900) and HCT/ATEX (to Ø1000) offer volumes up to 72000m³/h
Axair distributes Rosenberg ATEX fans in a wide variety of designs for Category3 Zone2applications. The fans are dimensionally compact to save space in equipment and are driven by external rotor motors of the EEx-e type.

  • Practical fan for commercial kitchens

Commercial kitchens have very demanding environments, with high temperature, greasy air needing to be extracted. The KB range from fan manufacturer Rosenberg, distributed in the UK by Axair Fans, has been specifically made for such applications, with a practical access door which allows the impeller to be easily accessed for inspection, cleaning or maintenance. Both air inlet and outlet are industry standard circular shape to match existing ducting size on site. The motors are either external rotor type or standard, depending on the size, and are fitted on the outside of the thermally insulated housing, allowing a maximum operating temperature on the impeller of 100°C. Impellers are available in either steel made, forward curved centrifugal from Ø180 up to 280mm or in aluminium backward curved centrifugals from Ø315 to 500mm. The maximum airflow is 4700CFM and maximum pressure is 1900Pa, in single or three phase.
