Firlawn has two buildings which operate as two smaller homes, yet benefit from having one team of nurses, carers and domestic staff. The older building has 14 single rooms and the newer building has 24 – all of a good size, all with televisions and many with en suite facilities. In both houses, passenger lifts allow residents and visitors to travel easily between floors. All private and communal areas, inside and out, are accessible for wheelchairs with ramps where necessary. The two main buildings are set in beautiful, mature gardens with interesting walkways, a picturesque thatched summer house and patio areas providing a wonderful setting for exercise and relaxation. Each house additionally has a sitting room and dining room overlooking the gardens, giving residents the choice of dining alone in their rooms or in company with others. We do everything we can to encourage social activities in the communal areas.
