It is important to us that Millbanks pupils enjoy all aspects of their education and learn a variety of skills as well as an appreciation of the diversity and wealth of interest in their City. Our Extended School status will enable us to continue running popular after school clubs in Dance and Sport, Gymnastics, ICT, Maths and Art. We also run a breakfast club ahead of the ordinary school day which incorporates a variety of activities. A play centre runs daily on the site from 3.15pm to 5.30pm. The school organises study support, for example a homework club, with the intention of targeting support to pupils who most need it. We enable the children to participate in a wide variety of sports teams, including Gymnastics, Football, Swimming, Tennis, Athletics and Cricket. Annual Sports Day is a highlight of the school year. Children from all years are taken on trips to local sites, including Tate Britain, the street market and the river.

The Siddal Moor Building Schools for the Future (BSF) re-building and refurbishment project is now almost halfway through. Two technology rooms have been entirely refurbished and the new three-storey block at the front of the school, the drama studio attached to the Hall and the new Food room are well on their way to completion.There has been little or no disruption to learning, with the school achieving its best ever results this year. By April next year, we will have moved into our stunning new teaching and administration building, and by November, the work should be complete. We certainly will have a ‘school for the future’.
