YACHTING COLCHESTER

The club is one of the oldest, largest dinghy and certainly friendliest sailing clubs in the East of England. The Club is situated on the north east coast of Essex where the Colne Estuary meets the North Sea. BSC offers sailing in sheltered waters at all times of the tide for, dinghies, catamarans, and windsurfers and caters for novices to national champions. Complementing the terrific sailing programme is an active social scene that welcomes both new-comers and life-long members.

West Mersea is a long-established yachting centre on the English East Coast. There are deep water and shoal water sites and Moorings range from 12 feet to 50 feet (4m to 15m) and up to 6 feet draft. Victory Moorings is a family run local business - help and advice are freely given Mersea Island is England's most easterly inhabited island. Adventures Offshore offers young people an exciting introduction to offshore sailing. We've been part of the UK Scouting movement since 1964 and regularly compete in the annual Tall Ships races with novice crews. We sail every weekend from April to October out of Ipswich Haven Marina, with longer voyages available by arrangement.
