Rway Driving School in Chelmsford offer driving lessons in and around the Chelmsford area in a new Mini Cooper. I started RWAY Driving School in 1997 after qualifying as a DSA (Driving Standards Agency) Approved Driving Instructor. Having trained and managed young people in the retail trade for many years I decided to use my people skills in helping others learning to drive. I quickly built up an excellent reputation with my friendly, calm and successful coaching techniques in particular with those students who may have been apprehensive about starting to drive. This has also been noticed from students coming from others schools who may have struggled through many lessons and tests and after being recommended to me have gone on to be confident and safe drivers. If you sit next to any driver you will notice that no two drive alike and that is the same when learning.

Essex Fresh Start is a 'Good with Outstanding features' (Ofsted 2007) registered day school catering for SEN Pupils in KS2, 3 & 4. Established in September 2004 as a pilot project for Essex County Council, we now teach 40 pupils across three Essex sites in Chelmsford, Colchester and Mersea. Each tutor group has a teaching team of three (Teacher and two Learning Support Mentors) supported by specialist teachers, our Pupil Facilitator and the Headteacher. Over five years, Essex Fresh Start has demonstrated that it is a high quality school delivering good outcomes for pupils. All pupils were originally referred by Essex County Council although we now take referrals from neighbouring Local Authorities and County Councils. Our school has a very strong record of not excluding the pupils they work with. Many of the pupils have a long history of rejection and exclusion.
There are a variety of extra curricular activities on offer to pupils giving the opportunity to extend sporting, intellectual, musical and other creative talents. There are also additional opportunities to learn a musical instrument through Essex Music Services. We hold themed weeks during the year. This year we had a Visual Literacy week and a Science Week. All children take part in class assemblies and the annual musical production. Children have the opportunity in Year 5 to take part in a residential visit. All children take part in activities to support the curriculum. This year there have been visits to The Cabinet War Rooms, Hyde Hall, Fingeringhoe Wick and Colchester Castle. We have been visited by a theatre group and Bassistry Arts musical activities. Through our sports Partnership pupils have had opportunities to take part in a wide variety of sporting activities including, tennis, basketball, cross country, rugby, cricket and Superstars.
