We will help and support older people, especially those who are vulnerable, isolated, and in poverty, who are resident in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan. Advocacy is identifying with and representing a person's views and concerns. Advocacy respects people's rights to control their own lives and make their own choices. Its emphasis is on empowering people not solving their problems for them. This may include enabling individuals to write letters or make phone calls and/or representing their wishes or negotiating with an outside agency.
