Our focus is in the provision of supporting children/young people/adults to remain independent within their own home. We provide a variety of care and support services to assist service users with daily activities, and Angel Care Support Ltd regards its employees as the face of the company.
We offer a comprehensive range of specialist services led by nationally and internationally recognised consultants. Students will be present at the clinics and as part of their training carry out much of the treatment, closely supervised by highly qualified dental staff.
There is a WRVS kiosk on the entrance level of the Eye Hospital where patients / visitors and staff can buy snacks, hot & cold drinks etc. The kiosk is open 10.00 am until 3.45 pm Monday - Thursday and Friday mornings. Vending machines for hot and cold drinks and snacks are situated in the main reception area. The Eye Hospital does not have a cafe but a self-service restaurant is situated across the road in the Old Building, Bristol Royal Infirmary. Reception staff will be able to direct you. You are welcome to use the shops and dining facilities in any other UH Bristol hospital. Please see the individual hospital sites for opening hours.
BGH is a rehabilitation hospital for the elderly and stroke patients which opened in 1832. Initially when the hospital opened it only took patients from Bristol, and in 1850 taking people from outside Bristol. Today we treat patients from Bristol and North Somerset in the main. We currently have 77 in-patient beds which are made up with a Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, one side for male and the other for female patients, together with Brunel Ward (male), Redcliffe (female) and Hare Ward (female). The Out patient facilities include clinics, physiotherapy services, and William Lloyd Unit which provides a day assessment service for elderly people. There is also a Sleep Unit clinic and sleep studies department serving a wider population in the South West.
The homeopathic service offers a general service for children and adults with a wide range of chronic illnesses and a Complementary Cancer Care Service where patients are seen within 4-8 weeks of referral where possible. We have a water dispenser in the waiting area but there are no other food and drink facilities on-site. However, we are sited very close to a number of cafes and restaurants so please ask the reception staff if you would like directions.
