At Manor Park we try and ensure that when delivering a broad, balanced curriculum we provide the children with as many opportunities as possible. There are a variety of educational visits linked to our thematic curriculum and children across the school attend swimming lessons and all children have been coached by a sports specialist (Sportwise, BCFC and ARTIS), music teachers (steel pans and choir), environmentalists, dancers, science workshops, first aid tutors (St John's ambulance) and so on. Outside the statutory curriculum children have also had the opportunity to join in rowing clubs, competing against children across the city. The children have appeared on National TV and newspapers. They have won a range of design and make competions resulting in their work being published for example, Poetry and Christmas Card designs.

Northfield Manor Primary School was opened in 1962 on part of the Bournville Estate, just behind the Manor House of Manor Park. It is the only school in Weoley Hill. The School benefits from the green and open spaces of the Bournville Village Trust, a lovely area in which to live, learn and work. The school divides naturally into two sections. There are six infant classrooms in the lower building, the computer suite, a multi-purpose hall and a Special Educational Needs Room. The junior part of the building is a two storey section with eight classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, a library and Reception.
We are a two-form entry primary school with a nursery, in Erdington, North Birmingham. Our aim is to give parents and carers a wider view of the life and work of our school through this website. Communications between home and school are most important. We hope that you find this website both informative and useful. Education is a shared responsibility and we value a good relationship with our parents and the wider school community. Support from home is invaluable, and we consider it vital that the school, the children and their families work together in order to enjoy success and happiness during the child's formative years. We currently have about 320 pupils in the junior and infant departments, with 30 full-time and 60 part-time pupils in the nursery. We have an open-door approach for parents and carers. The first point of contact is usually our Office Manager, Mrs Allen.
