    My sculptures are of British wildlife and ancient Goddesses, from small to life sized, for indoor and outdoor spaces. The animal sculptures are primarily of endangered British animals or those that have made a comeback such as the wild boar, raven, wolf, moose, red kite and buzzard. They are free standing 3D sculptures and wall hanging bas reliefs, and are made from Ceramic, Bronze and bronze resin. The Goddess sculptures include Classical Greek, Bronze age Cycladic Goddesses, Neolithic Turkish Goddesses and Neolithic Egyptian Nile Goddesses, from small to life sized, in ceramic. My studio is open to the public 6 days a week and we welcome visitors in sunny South Devon.

    BCPS is a community school that caters for boys and girls from 4 to 11. We have approximately 310 children on the roll in 11 classes. The arrangement of the classes can vary from year to year according to the number of children in each year group and the number of teaching staff. Children come to our school from Bassingbourn village, Kneesworth, Shingay, Wendy. and from the local Barracks. We have a well equipped building set in pleasant grounds overlooking Royston Heath. We have a successful school with a very friendly ethos. We encourage children to do their best and we provide a social and moral context that helps children grow into thinking, caring people. We are working towards a common goal where children are happy, healthy and learning.


  • BEATRIX POTTER SCHOOL

    Since its creation in 1927 Beatrix Potter School has continued to provide high standards of education in the community. The schools’ name was derived from the author’s visits to her former Governess who lived by our local common in Baskerville Road and to whom she wrote, using her characters to illustrate her letters. Beatrix Potter also drew inspiration from the varied wildlife she saw on her visits to Wandsworth Common. The school was founded in 1927 although there was on the site a school before this, this tin (it was located in a corrugated hut) school is recorded (1901), we have recently obtained a picture from a former pupil of 1916 of this tin school. We were re-modelled in 1933 and 1993, its only interruption to its role in providing education for the local community was in 1939 when the school was evacuated to Shamley Green, Guildford until 1943 as a result of the 1939-1945 war.

There are two hard surface playgrounds and a large field used for dry weather playtimes, sports and recreation for the children. The playground is securely surrounded by a fence which separates and protects the children from the car park. The Nursery building has its own hard surface playground, a wildlife garden and a grass area with large play equipment.
