Having grandparents who established their furniture business in 1904 and parents who followed on from this, it made sense for Robert to follow on the family tradition. At the age of 25, not being called to the bar, or join the space programme, Robert decided to open a furniture store in Craven Arms.

The White Bear is a large family pub/restaurant and is situated on the round about for J28 of the M62. We have separate spacious bar and dining areas with disabled access to the side of the premises. We also have a large outside area with over 20 benches and outside heaters.
