With an area of benefit which is coterminous with that of the Strategic Health Authority, Age Concern Hampshire was formed in 1985 as the County “Umbrella” Organisation for the other 30 Age Concerns within the historic County of Hampshire which remain independent autonomous Charities. We provide trained members of staff who take over those responsibilities and give carers a break - a chance to work, go shopping, meet with friends, look after their own health needs, or simply focus some uninterrupted time on the other children in the family. Carers can take these breaks with peace of mind because we endeavour to send the same trained Crossroads staff member to their home each time, and all work to a detailed care plan which is regularly updated.
