Our Care Centres offer a stimulating and enjoyable day out for older people who would otherwise have to stop at home all day. Activities are organised within the centres with occasional trips out for those who want them. A small daily attendance charge is made for these services. Transport is often a major problem for older people, particularly in such a rural area. With a fleet of accessible mini-buses and over 100 volunteer car drivers we help older people on low incomes to get around. We also operate 10 fully accessible 14 seat minibuses. Manual and electric wheelchairs can be loaded via the tail lift to ensure that people with disabilities are not excluded. All our drivers undertake the fully accredited MIDAS training programme.
